President Bush, in his inaugural address and in his State of the Union address, emphasized that the United States’ main foreign policy objective was to spread peace and freedom throughout the world. And, we believe him, don’t we, kids, because the President would never lie about such an important thing. Right? Right.
The President may have allowed his enthusiasm to get the better of him, though, when he claimed that spreading freedom and democracy had been America’s mission throughout the country’s history. Does this assertion accurately represent the historical record? Well, to answer that question is why this game was invented!
