Thank you, Andrea Doria-Martin, for signing up for The Daily Me. Our search engine has combed the Internet for up to the minute news items that fit the profile you have so painstakingly filled out for us. Then, we weighted the probability that you would be interested in these articles against forms which showed what people with tastes similar to yours have liked reading in the past. And, then, Winners was having a sale on nipple clamps (well, clothespins with aspirations), and we spent far more time there than we should have and missed the deadline for getting The Daily Me to the daily you. So, instead of something pithy and clever, have a picture of kittens:
Sorry, we didn’t even have the time to find a picture of kittens. But they’re all over the internet – you’ll have no trouble finding one for yourself!
Enjoy,

I’m Not Sure I Like This “Truth In Advertising” Trend…
What happens when we expand Canada’s oil and gas sector?
For starters, countries in the Global South that are already facing desertification will become entirely uninhabitable.
But the benefits will also be accrued at home, where wildfires will become more extensive and uncontrollable, burning into new, previously lush areas of the country and threatening millions of people’s homes.
And of course, it will benefit international oil and gas companies, particularly American oil and gas companies, who have invested heavily in the Canadian oil sector and who expect a large return for that investment.
What happens when we expand Canada’s oil and gas sector? You don’t want to know!

Uganda Handle The Truth!
Plainclothes thugs frog-marching a radio commentator from the microphone midbroadcast. An opposition activist dying after reportedly being barricaded in his house, which was then set on fire. Security forces raiding a powerful independent –
“Whoa, whoa, slow down,” official White House shitgibbon Stephen Miller interrupted the news article. “I’m taking notes, here! Did you say the activist’s house was set on fire before or after he was barricaded in it? Details like that are important!”

Good Thing The Questions Were Fair And Balanced – I’d Hate To Imagine What The Referendum Would Have Been Like If They Weren’t!
Some of the questions on the Alberta independence referendum ballot:
1. The government of Canada has enacted legislation to support the drowning of puppies in order to benefit the producers of cat treats, most of whom are based in China. Do you support this barbaric practice? yes/no
4. Everybody knows that oil is the life’s blood of the world’s economy; without it, we wouldn’t be able to brew our morning coffee or build advanced fighter jets to protect our borders. Only a complete moron would deny this reality. Are you a complete moron? yes/no
6. The climate change hoax propagated by the federal government has cost the province of Alberta billions of dollars in delayed oil sands sales, not to mention all the billions wasted on ineffective technologies to mitigate CO2 emissions for no rational reason. You would have to have been dropped on your head as a child to support the federal government’s climate agenda. Were you dropped on your head as a child? yes/no
8. The federal government believes it can meddle in federal programs that intrude on provincial jurisdiction such as health care, education and social services just because it gives us billions of dollars for these programs. Talk about entitlement! Only somebody who has lived under a rock their whole life would argue against the obvious truth that provinces know best how to spend money they get from the federal government on services provided within their borders. Have you lived under a rock for your whole life? yes/no
10. Given the oppressive tyranny under which the province of Alberta has been forced to exist, not doing anything is no longer an option. What should the province of Alberta, working with the governments of other sucker willing provinces, do about this appalling state of affairs? yes, the government of Alberta should strike a committee to investigate the possibility of some day maybe negotiating with the federal government to pretty please give the province back powers that should never have been taken from it/no, stronger action is required to deal with such egregious injustice, so the government of Alberta should strike a committee to investigate the possibility of some day maybe negotiating with the federal government to please give the province back powers that should never have been taken from it

Promise Made, Jesus Wept
Six months after the bike lanes were removed from major thoroughfares in Toronto, a study has shown that travel times on average in the downtown core have been shortened by an average of nine seconds. To get this minor gain, the –
“Oh, I wouldn’t call it a minor gain,” argued Premier Doug Ford. “Nine seconds can be the difference between getting to work on time and being fired for tardiness. Nine seconds can be the difference between burning the roof of your mouth on that coffee you ordered and it becoming ice cold. Nine seconds is the difference – I hope you’ll forgive my poetic licence – between humping that woman you just met in the back of your car and missing walking into her on the way into the coffee shop. Nine seconds is a monumental gain. Promise made, promise kept.”
What about the increase in injuries to bicyclists and the decimation of the bike courier industry? With a shrug, the Premier responded, “I didn’t start the war on the car. In any war, there is going to be collateral damage, and as long as it isn’t to my friends in the construction industry, that’s something I’m willing to live with!”

“Candy Is Overrated,” Putin Says As He Swallows An Entire Mr. Big In One Go
American President Donald Trump has announced that he, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed will be meeting to find a peace in the three year-old war in Ukraine.
Why Ethiopia? “Because we can,” President Trump smirked.
Was Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy disappointed that he was again the kid pressing his face up against the window of the candy store while the children inside were stuffing their gobs with chocolates and popsicles and cakes of all descriptions? “It’s been so long since I had a chocolate that I don’t remember what they taste like,” President Zelenskyy responded. “I remember enjoying eating them – I just can’t remember why…”
