As of this week’s update, Les ages aux Folles is 23 years old! It began the first week in September, 2002. Remember when we thought no national leader could be more ignorant of or less curious about the world than George W. Bush? And who could forget Donald Rumsfeld’s immortal words, “The absence of evidence is not the…umm…the…won’t get fooled again?” The US is still looking for Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction 23 years later – I’m sure this is going to be their year!

I’m not gonna lie: it’s been a rough year for me. I lost my mother in May. I lost my home of almost 50 years and 90% of my possessions in July. I lost my virginity a couple of days ago. Throughout, though I haven’t missed a week; 1,200, and counting.
I’d like to thank all of my supporters for their well wishes. I’m especially touched by the people who say, “Congratulations on your 23rd anniversary. Here’s to 23 more.” What are you trying to do? Kill me‽”
