Non-fiction

This section isn’t for you. You’ve probably arrived here by accident. If you click on the Home, New or Archive buttons above, you will be laughing at the crazy antics of all of the Les Pages aux Folles characters in no time.

You…you’re still here. Why are you still here? I assure you, there is nothing amusing here. This could be considered the Mordor of Les Pages aux Folles, the place where all the lightness of comedy is drained and what remains are the shells of intellectual ideas. Does that sound like someplace you want to be? I didn’t think so. So, if you’ll just run along –

Okay, well, since you asked, this is the area for Ira Nayman’s non-fiction writing. He doesn’t like it to get around, but he has a Masters in Media Studies and a PhD in Communications. Well, exactly – you’d be embarrassed, too, and you don’t even write comedy. (His parents, on the other hand, couldn’t be prouder – some people have the strangest priorities!) His Masters thesis, Tell Me a Story I Can Live, and his PhD dissertation, Literature at Lightspeed, can both be found in this section.

In a previous life, Ira was also a writer of film criticism. His work appeared in such publications as Reel Independence and Creative Screenwriting. A collection of this writing called I Don’t Know Art, But I Know What I Write can also be found in this section. As if that wasn’t enough (and, lord knows, it should be), his writing on film and new media for *Spark Online can also be found in this section.

So, if you have a few days and wish to read things that are demonstrably not funny (that is to say, intentionally not funny), you’ve come to the right place.

Oh, now you’re just being difficult!

Welcome Back My Friednishes To The Show That Never Ednishes

I now have a Facebook author/fan/whatever you want to call it page: Ira Nayman's Thrishty Friednishes. Go, look around, like it if you feel so inclined and feel free to leave a comment. I have only just started it, so it may be a little sparse at the moment, but I will add content based on what people post they would like to see. Within reason.
